I hate Winter, but I love the sound of rain on a tin roof
I hate cold weather, but I love watching the fire and
feeling the warmth from the combustion stove
I hate being surrounded by people, but I love working somewhere that
has hundreds of employees
I hate socialising, but I love meeting new people
I hate feeling lonely, but I love living alone
I hate pubs, but I love that it costs nothing to enter and the
entertainment is free
I hate that past relationships have gone awry, but I’d love to try another
I hate listening to the rain, sitting in front of the fire,
feeling lonely but I'd love if that would change...if I could change.

mmmmm .... looking back but wanting to go forward?
ReplyDeletePossibly...haven't figured that out yet.
DeleteRobyn, have you made any friends you could invite around for a chat and a coffee? I also hate the cold and wish I had a wood fire. If I could only find a place where the max temp didn't go above 25C year round I would be happy ;-)
ReplyDeleteNo friends. With my weird working hours, and the fact that lots of things around here start at 6 or 6.30pm, unless I go to a club or pub, it's difficult to socialise. Not really into going out on my own at night as that's just courting trouble.
Deletewell, that's my life in a bottle too! though i don't seem to want anything now i do feel all those things, so know how you feel
ReplyDeletewish i had a wood stove
thanx for sharing
Selina, we may both be warm weather wallflowers!
DeleteYou poor ol' chook.
ReplyDeleteDunno about the old part! I don't feel old, my age is just a number, and the cold thing may be to do with the fact that I've always been a bit anaemic.
